Below are some “Need to Knows” that should answer some immediate questions you might have. We invite you to browse around the rest of the website to learn more about the vibrant community that is Clifton United Methodist Church!

Who is the Senior Pastor?

Rev. David Meredith has been the Senior Pastor here since 2012.

How is Clifton United Methodist Church different than other churches?

Clifton UMC has been located in the heart of Cincinnati for nearly 125 years. We are an all-inclusive, progressive faith community and Reconciling Congregation, where ALL are welcome at God’s table. There’s a place for you here, and we look forward to seeing you soon.

What can I expect on Sundays?

Sunday mornings at 9:15 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. we celebrate in inspirational worship that stirs our hearts, challenges our minds, and lifts our spirits. Worship is genuine, interactive, intergenerational, and multicultural. Planned and led by clergy and laity of all ages, worship reflects Christian tradition, while being innovative, relevant, and unique. Worship includes a liturgical tapestry of prayer, sacrament, music, Scripture reading, and theologically challenging sermons.

Between worship services is an informal fellowship time with refreshments where you can meet and get to know the people of Clifton UMC.

What will my kids do on Sundays?

Infant and toddler care is provided on Sundays mornings from 9-10:15 a.m. and 10:30-noon in a well equipped and professionally staffed nursery. Children are invited to attend Worship with their families and go to Sunday School after the Children’s Moment, where they will enjoy Godly play lessons, arts and crafts, and snacks. Elementary Children’s Music is also offered from 10:15-10:30 a.m.

Students and youth gather on Sundays from 10:15-11:00 a.m. for ADMISSION U., a small group program that focuses on relational discipleship and service projects.

How do I get involved?

Clifton UMC offers a number of opportunities to get involved and make a difference, from simply attending worship to teaching Sunday School or ushering on Sunday mornings, participating in music and the arts, or taking part in small groups and mission opportunities.
