Experiencing God causes us to be transformed both individually and communally. Clifton UMC has many spiritual formation opportunities.
Children grow through Godly Play lessons about stories in the Bible. ADMISSION U. reaches students and youth through small group conversation, service projects, and relational discipleship. Our Roadway to Discipleship presents a “road map” of guidance for growing as disciples throughout every life stage.
We offer Sunday School, Bible study, and theological education for all ages. We assemble in small groups for prayer, meditation, study, and mutual support. We gather to discuss films, books, and popular culture from a theological perspective. We seek to be a “community of care” – being there in prayer and presence for those ill, elderly, or in life transitions.
Clifton UMC has many small group opportunities through which you can grow in faith:
- Disciple Bible studies offer in depth bible study over a year time frame.
- Thursday Sermon Shapers is a drop in small group bible study that studies the week’s scripture.
- Thursday evening food and fellowship is a time to connect before Sermon Shapers or Choir practice.
- Sunday school offerings for adults are ongoing and include opportunities like Contemplative Prayer Group, Writing Groups, Theologies of Liberation, and Prayer Shawl Ministry.
- Adults also participate in Church Beyond the Walls small groups in the Spring and Fall.
Come grow in faith at Clifton UMC!
